JOB OPENING IN PANAMA CITY

If you log on to the Clear Channel Career site, you will see a posting listed today, 5/15, for the CC Panama City cluster looking for a new Operations Manager. What happened to Jay Cruze? What's going on...anybody know?? Is he already gone? Where is he going??

He actually posted the lisiting...from what I hear Ops manger with the Corporate groups tend to come attached with a bulls eye on your back.

Jeeeeeeesus!

Jay had an opportunity to move to the same city where his kids are and make more money....if either of you two [EDIT] would have had that opportunity given to you, I think you would have made the same decision....and no he isn't gone yet...as far as where he is going, that will come out in due time

[EDIT-namecalling]

Let's see, CCPC Operations Managers since about 2004:

Jay Cruz - leaving, congratulations on getting near the kids.
Cousin Eddie - transferred to Sarasota
Jim Radford - out
Todd Berry - transferred to Huntsville
Bill Young - out
Tom Hanrahan - transferred to B'ham

6 Operations Managers in 4 years...who or what makes this such a dead-end job within CCPC? ;D

you have to face the fact that Panama City is a stepping stone market....no one in programming is going to stay here for a long time if they are worth a crap.....now, I will have to admit that two on Jack's list NEEDED to leave (IMO)....that is all I am going to say about that.....

I do not believe Panama City to be a stepping-stone market but, rather, the equivalent of stringing together two tin cans and conversing. As far as the job opening goes, they need to think outside of the box. There are a lot of talented persons presently incarcerated for years to come. Why not look at some of them? It's not as though they can up and skip town like the others.
