Jobs at KNXV

1. Do you exude energy, enthusiam and creativity? Read on, because that's what we're looking for in our next morning news co-anchor.
(Wonder who they are replacing Connie or Kirk Yuhnke?)

2. Do you love dust storms, monsoon downpours and beautiful winters? Do you have a passion for wall-to-wall weather coverage? Can you tell a great weather story both in the field and in the studio? ABC15 in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a dynamic and experienced Meteorologist to be the fourth member of our weather team.
(Finally getting a full time team member so they don't have to call in old uhm uhm Randy uhm Kollins.)

I trashed Kollins at first, so now I have to be fair and defend him. He has pretty much lost the uhm...uhm... and can get through a weather segment without stumbling.

I'm thinking Yuhnke, the only reason why is they put Colla front and center for all of their advertisements.

Kollins has improved greatly since his CBS5 days. Normally, a "pause-er" would stay employed is if they were a legacy broadcaster or the station was desperate.

The job description for the weather position on the KNXV website states "Weekend Meteorologist". I know Rich's father passed away...not sure where his family lives...wondered if he wanted to be closer to his mother now. The only other thing is that I can think of is that ABC15 might jump into the weekend morning fray???

As for weekday morning co-anchor, I agree with brian4. They feature Connie heavily and Kurt is probably on his way out. Although Connie is an excellent anchor, I still miss the Rebecca and Susan pairing.

I think Kurt is solid and too bad if you all are right that he is on his way out.

If you read the job description (even the part I copied for the original post) it says the position if for a 4th member of the weather team.

As far as I know from the job description and what Rich has posted on Facebook, he is back to work on his regular assignment.

I did read the job description last week. I was at work and didn't have time to post it here. I apparently missed the part about being the fourth member of the weather team (sorry I'm not perfect). However, the title of the job description is Weekend Meteorologist which is somewhat misleading unless ABC15 is re-entering the weekend morning fray.
