HI ALL!!! I am thinking about moving to the San Antonio area sometime at the end of the year, but I am not sure what the radio stations are out there? Can anyone suggests some stations? Maybe some websites I can check out?

THANKS!

Here's a link to a list of stations in the market.

Start with metro-networks... They're usually hiring.
Lotus- KZEP is a good shop, but a stable one, so there are few openings.
Cox- kono, kiss kkyx, y-100 et al, is a pretty good company as far as big chains go. I'd work there, but they passed on their chance to bring me in.
Clear Channel is, well, Clear Channel. In spanish, it's pronounced Pinche Cabron Chepete Puto. They're WOAI, KAJA, 96.1 and 101.9 nad one or two others.
CBS - ktsa and whatever the hell 102.7 is now, is a mess, hell bent on self destruction.
I can't speak to the spanish media, but if I had to choose one, I'd go with KEDA. It's a fun place, and Guero Polkas (Ricky Davila) is a good guy. There's a hip-hop and some other hispanic owned english languige stations I know nothing about.
Can't say much about Border or Hispanic. No hobble the espaniel.
KDRY is a mystery.
KSLR is a fine place for evangelical conservative types. Other than that, it's a waste of electricity.
KLUP is just about all syndicated now. It's Salem.
KAHL has some interesting potential; John Barger is probably the smartest radio guy in town, but there's no money there. He taught Clear Channel how to be Cheap Channel. He's got a couple of others, KMFR I think.
Radio Disney is just about all satellite.
There are a handful of rim-shots that will never do much, but they'll probably be hiring. Good luck, and have you ever considered the burgeoning hospitality industry?
