Jodi Applegate's Future At WPIX?

This week, she revealed on her husband Michael Kay's radio show that she's having a baby due in January. There was a vibe later in the show that she might give up her anchor duties at Channel 11 in order to raise her child... nothing official yet (maternity leave is definitely feasible), but it's possible the family could survive on the coin that Kay's making at YES Network and ESPN 98.7.

I'm sure the WPIX folks didn't expect this when they made her their golden girl two years ago. But the newsroom is now under new management. Let the speculation begin as to who will take the desk, and here's hope they'll ditch the gimmicks also.
