Maybe they are making KHIT a non DJ, JACK-FM (DAVE,STEVE,BOB,MAX) type of format.

One jock bailing does not a format flip make. And I’m not sure any Jack-style format is different enough to justify a total re-imaging effort. It looks like Lotus is loathe to part with enough money to keep a full-time staff, why would they shell out to ‘flip’ a station that can simply switch things up? In other words, KHIT is new enough that a playlist change isn’t going to rock the boat much.

But…every time I say ‘zig’ they ‘zag.’ I just want you to be wrong, Ken (because you’re a cat person).

Uh, what? What sports programming is available? We’ve got, what, four or five sports stations serving Fresno already? Plus KNBR when the weather’s right. I’d bet STRONGLY against this (of course, if I’m wrong I owe your mom a beer).

My guess is that we’ll hear “More Music Mornings” on KHIT. Lotus will find a young lady with a pleasing voice…or they’ll pick up Steven Mikal Brown (formerly of Smooth Jazz) to give you traffic, weather, and local headlines. KHIT isn’t there to rule the world; I think its mission is simply to dig into the female and older (two separate catagories!) demos that used to listen to The Fox (and ‘ZR & New Rock) and to help pave the way for the success of The Blaze.

Meanwhile, Jody Jo will kick TONS of a$$ with Greg & Charlie. That’s gonna be fun to listen to…

You have a point, Sam, on KHIT and their format, just retooling the playlist, and on top of that between The BLAZE and KHIT they would cover anything that a JACK-FM would cover ever and more.

Yes Sam I have 2 cats and 1 dog, and 4 cat pictures out of 24 pictures on Facebook, hey while you were on my page ,why didn't you do a friend request.
