well, some things never change....Jody Mac, formerly of WFAN on NY and WIP in Philly is back in Philly at the new all sports station and he is already putting people to sleep....the new station will be off the air within a year if he is not given a partner..otherwise people will either fall asleep or switch the station......

what a disgraceful decision to hire that borefest to be the only local show on the station thus far.....

And they repeat him and Bruno at night! Imagine that, especially with the playoffs during the day and hearing Bruno and Co pregame it again after the fact. I feel bad for Jody, Greater Media has providing a crap product.

Sid Rosenberg is a jackass...there is nothing that can help make him "unboring"....the idiots at WPEN have no clue how bad a decision it was to hire him

What's available to you in that time frame? Eskin? Mike & the Mad Dog? The local show on 920? Worse yet, are you not within listening range of 950, and just looking for another chance to take cheap shots at a host that other people seem to 'preciate?

The new SportsTalk 950 is not a good product. Not yet. Who knows if it ever will be? It's a choice, though. Evidently not one to this guy's liking. Don't listen.

950 is also a little dumb in running liners in how the station looks to be more informational in its sports approach than confrontational (forgive me for not knowing the liners verbatim)... then proceeds to run JT the Brick.
 
uh, Eskin is at least "entertaining"..he is a dick..but at least I won't fall asleep when listening to him...same for Mike and Dog...I hate them..but at least there is entertainment value in listening to them.....

I can get 950 and also the fan...I can get everything....I know sports radio....and Jody is brutal...
 
Jody isn't very entertaining, but ESKIN sounds bored and tired and flat out has zero entertainment value. Mike and the Dog are no factor because Philly fans hate NY.
Bruno's show is the only good thing on WPEN. He's giving the nation his Philly love and no one on the air at WIP on any station in Philly has his contacts, entertainment value or energy. His IS the voice of the city! Those drones on WIP are just a bunch of ex-writers who know the newspaper business is dead and they try to be outrageous just to get the morons riled-up. In his first week, Bruno had more Philly guests with great perspective than WIP has had in a year. That city should be proud of what that guy has accomplished, but instead, they worship New England hacks like Cataldi and Morganti?
Bruno is the only true radio GOD!!!!

how many times do I have to point out how idiotic you are....I love when people like you spew nonsense when they don't really have a clue about what they are discussing.......

I am the biggest Bruno guy in the world.... but the entertainment value of WIP's morning show with Angelo Cataldi is on par and even surpasses that of Tony's show....

the rest of the station sucks but Angelo/Al/Rhea have provided one of the best morning radio shows anywhere....hilarious....and you don't last for FIFTEEN years on the same station in the SAME SLOT if you aren't great......

nice try though....
