JOE BAGBY (KHVN) Passes

What a resume in DFW radio...he worked for every inhabitant of the 730 frequency since the frequency was awarded to Grand Prairie in 1957 (except for KRZY-"Krazy Radio," he was with KBCS, KKSN-"Kissin'", KPCN and KKDA) plus years at Heaven 97 (which was once KNOK-AM, longtime rival of KKDA-AM.) And there he was on the air, Thursday morning, and turned in his last show less than 24 hours before he died.

I also tuned in for a bit on Thursday morning. I am heartbroken. He was a great man....... :( :( :( :( :(

I was shocked when I heard about it yesterday morning.

The Dallas Morning News Sucks.....................

Not one mention of the passing of Bro. Joe Bagby. The Star-Telegram mentions his passing. Even a competing station quasi-website(www.willisdacrooner.com)defacto website for KKDA 730 am had something on the homegoing celebration. I know KDFW and WFAA had stories posted.

Oh well......

Re: JOE BAGBY (KHVN) Passes

NBC 5 did the story Friday. They even talked to the newsman. Robert Ashley I believe his name is.

Buc, you don't rememberh Robert Ashley when he did news for KNOK AM/FM. He was the news man with Scott West in the the mornings.

Is anyone going to the Dallas Memorial Service for Bro. Joe Bagby at Full Gospel Holy Temple.

Did anyone go to the Ft. Worth Wake last night?

You can view the body today at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas on South RL Thorthon, in Oak Cliff.
