Joe Bee = KNR/GKB owner?

I have a question I have been wondering about for awhile...

If you listen to WKNR at all, you're aware of "Joe Bees"--the bee pollen multivitamin breathlessly hawked by Tony Rizzo.

I've never heard ads for this on any other station in town, and in fact, I believe the only stations this product is advertised on are Good Karma stations.

Could the eginmatic Joe Bee (or whatever his real name is) be a part owner of GKB?

If you had this product you thought was the greatest thing since sliced bread, wouldn't you want to carpet bomb the market with ads, rather then just a certain few stations nationally?

Silly question...maybe, but maybe those on here a little smarter than me could answer, just for gits and shiggles.

Joe Blumenstein is from Florida, runs his pollen company, does motivational speaking, but as far as I know, doesn't have an ownership interest in GKB. He has advertised on KNR for four years and Tony Rizzo wrote the intro for his book.

No, Joe Bees isn't part owner. It's just that WKNR is so desperate for ad revenue, they're willing to alienate their listeners with insanely annoying "sponsors as guests" segments.

Clear Channel Tampa used to do the same thing with one of Joe Bees' competitors, called Nature Bee. The easisest way to get dumped from a show was to try to criticize the Nature Bee segments.
