Joe Case Dies

Sad to see the passing of Joe Case. If my memory is correct he started in radio in Jackson Tn. before doing weather on tv. I remember him being on when the tornado hit Nashville back in 1998. He went over to Fox 17 for several years before moving on to do other things.

Services were today, Kent. Your time frame is right. Joe was also on Hippie (weather dude at first and some fill-in shifts.) His wife does the morning show now. Pam and Joe had a rare and complete love for life together while being married for 30plus years. A very spiritual and solid man. Precise, poised and just nice. He was also an ordained minister. Rough rough.

I'm guessing that Pam is still taking some time off. I heard Mark McGill (who had the afternoon shift there back in their early days) filling in again this morning. I'm trying to remember if Pam and Joe ever co-hosted the morning show. I'm thinking that they did, once or twice. Just can't remember, now. And I am thinking that Joe was probably the last non-meteorologist on Nashville TV, with the possible exception of Bill Hall.

Happy 2022, Firepoint. Pam is back as of this week. She is really strong to be able to jump back in, but her faith and drive (and in honor of all those years of marriage to Joe, probably) have gotten her back in the studio. Mark originally did nights when Hippie launched (getting close to lucky 10!) Joe and Pam never did a show together, interestingly enough. You may be right about Joe and Bill. I can’t say for sure on that.

Glad to hear that Pam is back on. Somehow, I knew that she would get back to work. I met Joe once, but have never met Pam. Although they both came into the cruise ship center where the wife was working at the time.

I remember Spider Harrison doing evenings on Hippie, but don't remember who, if anyone, ever did overnights. That was probably automated. Yeah, I realize that Hippie's 10-year anniversary is fast approaching!
