Sounds like Audacy had the replacement show planned a while ago. Waiting for a few months before Angelo's retirement.

Wonder how they'll fill the mid-day show---would like to think they will keep it local, but with all the cutbacks in radio recently a syndicated show is a possibility. Personally I would like Mac and Mac back--but that ship has sailed a long time ago.

I don’t think a nationally syndicated sports talk radio would ever be a huge hit in Philly. And if WIP is going to spend the money to have a local overnight talk show where audience numbers are probably the lowest, I can’t imagine not keeping a local show in the afternoon.
