Last night for those who haven't heard that CBS-FM former PD Joe McCoy returned to the airwaves for one night. Has anybody listened to last night's show? He sounded great back when he was PD at CBS-FM. I missed him so much.
Much of WCBS-FM's success can be attributed to Joe McCoy. I especially enjoyed the specialty shows that he initiated such as the Top 20 Countdown and the Hall of Fame. He certainly hired the right people for on the air and behind the scenes positions. He is currently consulting for the Breeze at the Jersey Shore.

You can also hear each Hall of Fame (and Top 20) show on the WCBS website for the week following its airing. (With the commercials are convenitently removed!)
Yep, Joe sounded really great sunday nite. He hasn't lost his touch; great to hear him talk about his career. I'm a little surprised to hear him on the air after he was uncerimoniously dumped as PD a few years ago. Much stupidity followed after he was gone, like firing the heritage Jocks Like Ingram, etc...the man is a programming genius!!!
Cheers
