Good for you man!!! Oh Gary Dixon is looking for some VO work.....i know this cause he wanted me to hand over my Home Shopping Network spots to him.......Sorry Gary, love your piano playing abilities at 3 am on a certain Country cruise ship 20yrs ago! But you ain't getting my HSN spots....lol

Glad the VO work is going well for you Joe! But in my eyes this is a classic "Squeaky Wheel Gets The Grease" WNSX is probably sick of seeing posts on here and facebook about how they fired you. Now that you're back on payroll, even as a part-timer, you will have to be "Pro WNSX" again.

I'm Just HAPPY to do some RADIO WORK AGAIN
after 27 Months
Do I miss my MORNING SHOW.......YES!
Buts Thats RADIO!
Started doing Spots For WNSX/ELLSWORTH
Today!
Hope you will listen
YES..I still would LOVE an ON-AIR thing Somewhere
in the Downeast Maine/Bangor Market BUT Who Knows
All the Best

Spins45sAllDay, I don't mean to offend you as a person... but congratulations on the stupidest post I've seen here in a long time. I'm sure that a little radio station in Ellsworth, Maine, would pay big money to "shut up" Joe McMillan's rather mild criticisms of WNSX on this board regarding how they parted company. (Yeah, right) Hey, let's all gang up on that radio station!! Maybe we can get rich like Joe is gonna be! (rolling eyes here)

If I can be blunt? Show some respect for someone like Joe who is a tremendous voice talent. And for WNSX, too, I guess. They are a small market station, but when I've heard them, they've been totally pro. I may prove to be wrong, but I think that Joe and WNSX will be good for each other in this reunion. Maybe there's just some fence-mending going on between some old friends (if what Joe says is true), and what's wrong with that in this business? Hell, we probably need more of that kind of thing in this world. If that's what it is, I sincerely wish them both the best of luck.

Peace, brothers and sisters. We all need each other. Especially right now.

Geez, I don't know... maybe a little more squeaking will get his full-time job back, if that was the case. BTW, congrats on your regained employment, Joe!

Can I get a little info here? I have never heard of Joe McMillan (except for on this board). But why does Joe feel the need to update us on what he is up to and to use this board to pull a "poor me" routine about not having work, etc. I just don't get it. There are a lot of people in this industry unemployed and underemployed...I just don't understand what is the deal with all these posts.

I was thinking the same thing...Is this a board to talk about what radio stations are doing or a board to complain about not having a full-time radio job? I'd love a full-time radio job in Augusta or Portland! Hell I'll move back to Vermont or New Hamsphire, but I'd rather not... A post about getting fired is fine...but why do we need monthly updates...

All good points, I will not deny Joe that he's got talent-- but you're right. We don't need updates all the time. Someone commented about getting worried about "lil old WNSX" getting bashed on this board. Radio is a VERY small business. Word spreads that you speak poorly of your former employer, can sometimes come back and bite you in the ass.

Best to let it go and not vent (at least not publicly) unless you don't want to do radio again.

For that matter, even if you don't think you'll ever want to do radio again it's not wise to bash. The radio bug is hard to get out of your system. Radio has always been a small world, and it's smaller now than ever. Get a rep as a whiner or someone who's living in the past and you'll close many doors.

Thank You all for your input
I appreciate it!
I think I will just go back to My VERY Successfull
Voice-Over Work
I'm VERY HAPPY to be back doing spots for my
Friends Mark and Nat at WNSX
They Start March 1st
I wish you all the Best in this Very Tough Radio Economy!
Joe

A LOT of GREAT people have worked for Mark Osborne. And many vanished unexpectedly. That's the way it goes sometimes. His stations have always had very high standards. I would love to have his name on my resume, fired or otherwise.
