Joe Negri, Grammy winner and "Handyman Negri" on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, dies at 99

Mr. Negri was less than two weeks shy of his centenary.

He also worked in radio for many years in Pittsburgh.

So many seem to pass just ahead of their 100th. birthday. He was known nationally primarily for his work on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, but he performed locally as a jazz guitarist for decades, taking gigs into his 90's. He also taught guitar and took over as host of Adventuretime on WTAE-TV after Paul Shannon retired. RIP.

Amazing, long life that he lived, and a lot of children in Pittsburgh and around the US watched him. Welcome to Heaven. I hope Mr. Rogers was there to greet you at the gate. RIP Joe!
