Joe Pags fired from 950 AM

Where is the outrage? I see people reading this but no one responding. Is nobody care anymore? Are we all so jaded from everybody getting fired from various stations that when it happens we don't care anymore? If so that's a sad state of affairs. Please somebody tell me there's some outrage out there.

Put up 950 for sale and sell to someone for local programing

He's another right-winged blowhard. There are a lot of those still on the air in Houston. Not that Walton and Johnson will be any better. To be fair, I'm tired of ALL political talk. It's no wonder so many folks are angry all the time. Radio should be about good times, good music and good personalities... not all the bitterness that these people spew on a daily basis.

I agree 100%.

Pagliarulo may have been removed from KPRC but he is still getting a paycheck from Cheap Channel.

To speculate aloud, maybe bagging Pags is a sign of things to come, even if only locally. And it could be symptomatic of a concern a few of us OTA/TIO thread-heads have already cited: talk radio is stewing in the bitter broth of malice. Again, this is only speculation. But if it proves true, you can blame "blowhards" on both sides of the political spectrum.

But don't W & J at least dabble in a bit of hate spewing themselves? Their take on Obama is right up there with El Rushbo.

**Their take on Obama is right up there with El Rushbo.**

And that's a bad thing, why? And why is any criticism of The One always referred to as "hate spewing"?

Count me on the list. At one time I was caught up in the "rant radio" routine, but after a while I just got tired of it..and that was YEARS ago.

No wonder folks are angry...? Yes, plenty of folks are angry, but heaping the blame on Talk/Radio? Listeners choose the radio station and the program they're hearing. If they don't like what they're hearing, they will likely excersize the option of either surfing to another station, or turning off the radio and firing up the IPod. Listeners sticking with a radio program they're not otherwise enjoying probably showed up at the dance already angry.

Am I right BigA (I know you're watching)? Give it to me straight, I can take it. No, seriously, be gentle. I'm all beat up from shoveling snow yesterday.

What is the world could the 950 be thinking about. Pags had the audience
and the backing. I am a I heart listener out of Brooksville Fl. And really
enjoyed Joes brand of dealing with things. I seen the same thing happen
to Jeff Katz on the Boston Radio show. One day on the next day gone.
