Are we ever going to hear him again?

I went to KTRH.com and he is not on there anymore.

Anybody know something?

Maybe Pallilo will do double duty and be on KTRH from 9a-11a? ;)

Actually, is Laura Ingraham or Glenn Beck available? One of them could be on there starting Monday.....

Right now, they are showing news till 11 on their web. Well... we've been asking for more news on KTRH, and I'm happy with expanded news coverage .... if they'd only put Joe Pags in Limbaugh's slot.

JOE PAGLIARULO's show is moving to sister Talk KPRC-A (THE 9-5-0) 3-5p starting MONDAY (10/6)...JOE PAGS is also heard 5-8p at sister Talk WOAI-A/SAN ANTONIO

The 9-5-0 just lost me as a listener. Mancow was my favorite show on there. Savage and W&J are ok. Not enough to keep me as a listener though. Will prolly still listen to Outlaw Dave but thats it. I USED to ba an all day listener.

So, they are dumping Mancow? Although Mancow is on from 2-5 what is going on at 2:00?

They will probably take another hour of Dave Ramsey, since his show runs 24/7

Well hold on just a second, "y'all"

I was thinking a lot about this because I used to listen to Mancow, but there are aspects where I can see the 9-5-0 making the switch.

1. Pags is a local. He speaks the Houston talk of the town well. I think if you are going to make a syndicated talk show go "bye-bye" in exchange for a local host, it better be a damn good one - Pags is. He's a genuine, nice guy, whom I've had the pleasure of meeting once, and his topics are fairly well-put-together for radio.

2. Mancow's...well, he's Mancow. Yes, he has great guests, good live music, etc. etc. etc. but, I don't know. Maybe for some of you guys whom have been in the business longer than I have - some hosts/shows just don't fit in in a certain market...to me, I always thought Mancow was like that for Houston. Hell yeah, he's great in Chicago or wherever his base is, but he's on at 2pm (goes live at 6a) in Houston. It just never pieced together for me. Can I see where he fits in with the whole "guys talk" aspect of the 9-5-0, though? Yes, I can.

Just thoughts...
All the best for Mr. "Pags"...

Sorry, Pags is not local. He's based out of CC central in San Antonio. A show CANNOT be local when it comes from another city!

Michael Berry is local, the AM and afternoon guys on KSEV & KBME are local. San Antonio is not a suburb. Sorry.

All that being said, Pags is a good host and if he lived here, he'd be a good one.

CC Houston had a great local host in Pat Gray and he did so well, they canned him. But that was the previous manager. Michael Berry seems to be at least trying to improve the situation.

Here's what I don't understand. Don't the programmers at 950 realize that people need consistency? Why are they always tinkering and making changes? The station suffers from an identity problem.

I agree they are always messing with and changing the lineup. As soon as you get used to it and enjoy it, they change it. I LONG for the days when I had ,my radio on 950-KPRC all day. I hardly ever changed the station. There was a real chemistry on there. Pat Gray, Chris Baker with Natalie Fitzgerald and even Ken Charles pipeing in. Those where the days. Now I am constantly changing all day. I am a talk radio addict, but back in the day......

hearing mancow pre-morning drive now. guess jerry doyle is out. too bad - jerry has a good show with compelling content and quick wit.
