Joe Scarborough Drops F-Bomb On MSNBC

Yeah i saw that happen live. I was shocked. He clearly didn't mean to say it. He was sweating pretty
bad after he said it. But I can't say that I didn't get some satisfaction. Out of seeing one of those know it
all talking heads. Getting some humble pie.
 
Scarborough was clearly wrong in doing what he did, even by accident, and will probably be fined accordingly, but when it comes to sanctimonious, Greenwald = Scarborough.

True -- the FCC cares less about what's on cable.

Don't say they didn't try, though -- a notorious senator from Alaska wanted to expand FCC's censorship to cable and satellite programming as well (not to mention fine them $500,000 for each offence).

By who? The FCC? Last time I heard, the FCC can only fine OTA stations (TV/Radio), and not cable.

Brain fart - I was in Sue Simmons mode. Still, the point being made is that Scarborough doesn't have the sanctimonious market cornered by any stretch of the imagination.
 
Why does the FCC only care about over the air channels and not cable? Sure during the day cable channels aren't that bad. During the night around 9 or 10 is when regular cable gets bad. Just check out FX with their late shows rated TV-MA. But even over the air channels show some shows even if words are beep out. They air Jerry, Maury, soaps, and etc.
 
Who watches Morning Joe anyways? I find it boring. Say what you want about Imus, but at least he was somewhat entertaining.

There is nothing entertaining about Morning Joe, especially Mika who appears at times to look like she would rather be anywhere else on the planet except doing that show. But I'm sure her paycheck makes up for it.

Joe is guarded by a 7 second delay. News programming and the other MSNBC hosts, including Chris, Keith, and Rachel will still air live with no delay.

All live programming should remain honest no matter the content, but it's always best to think before you speak or say nothing at all. I don't care for the TV ratings such as TV-MA, as they give some creators an excuse to make TV programs with rough content for a certain audience in mind.
 
SO F'in what, he said a word. Big f'in deal! I'm sure more people heard ABOUT it than actually heard it. Like you have never heard that word anywhere else? He made a mistake and I think its NO BIG DEAL.

On the other hand (my other liberal hand),,,,

The other day I surfed by the outdoor channel. This guy was hunting deer. I know nothing of hunting and find it rather offensive unless you are hunting for food (this guy looked well fed already). I was disgusted by the whole thing. This guy, in his pre-fab hunting tower, above the brush, acting just like a sniper with his high powered gun and scope, waiting to kill a deer. He went on about how he missed this deer 3 times, then finally got him. He shot the deer in the rear end. I saw the deer go down. Then he bragged about it to another hunter/killer. Someone shooting another living thing in the back,, we used to call that person a coward. Showing killing on tv as entertainment is ok, but saying "a word" is worthy of firing Joe???? get real.

After seeing that, how can ANYONE be offended by a word, but not be offended by a sniper shooting an animal in the back, and bragging about it?

Gee Sack, you sound like an effete liberal intellectual and citizen of the "Fake America." I doubt Sarah Palin would ever let you join "Real America."

Shooting defenseless animals = gun rights = real America.

As for Scarborough, conservative or not - by accidentally uttering a word over the air that everybody hears on the the street everyday, he has revealed himself as a closet liberal. Of course, MSNBC has become the news network for Fake America, so no problem.

Because even though there are well over two dozen basic cable channels that could be found in most homes, they still must be subscribed to. They aren't broadcast on public airwaves accessible by everyone.

There should always be a separate and a less-restrictive standard for TV content that must be paid for, and can reasonably be shielded from young people (through TV ratings and the V-CHIP).
