Joey Shaver

Sad news...Joey Shaver, former WARM personality and salesman suffered a stroke the other day. He is in intensive care at General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. I'm leaving for the hospital in a short while. If I hear any more i'll post it.

Tom

UPDATE...Went to see Joey this morning. He was sleeping and his nurse asked me not to wake him. He had a little trouble sleeping during the night. He is talking and walking..aware of his surroundings so the outlok looks pretty good...Prayers are needed. I was told that he my be transfered to John Heinz tomorrow. I really don't know the extend of his illness.

Sorry to hear about Joey, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for letting us know. We wish Joey the best.

Joey was easily one of the nicest people I met at WARM. His welcoming nature, good humor, and willingness to share the history of the Mighty WARM inspired me to try to live up to those who came before me....

He'll be fine....

I just got back from a visit with Joey and his wife Judy at John Heinz. He looks, talks and feels great..a few issues with his left side but that should clear up in no time. Thanks for all your well wishes

Tommy...hope all is well. Please pass on my best to Joey when you see him next. One of the great characters of 600 Baltimore Drive when we were all there together.

Tommy, Please tell Joey that I said hi as well. And get well soon. Joey was the only salesman left at WARM who really understood it's heritage and knew how to sell it. It obviously got harder and harder to do that. Still remember the silver Vette with WARM 1 as the plate.

Does anyone know why Double G took Joey off the air and replaced him with T.J. Lambert? Joey would have been out of work if the sales manager didn't offer him a sales job.
