John Adams & Gene Henssler back on the radio

John Adams real estate show returned to the airways today on WCFO/1160. Next week, Dr. Gene Henssler's Money Talks will follow John's show at 11:00am.

I was scanning the dial after Sam & Dave's Car Show and came across John Adams show. He took a few swipes at WGST and Clear Channel, which isn't too difficult with programming moron Randy ??? Bloomquist at the helm. He was in good form and never gave out the wrong phone number. Good to see him and Dr. Gene back on the radio.

:D ;D :) ::)

While I've always liked John Adams, slamming WGST on his new station on the air is pretty unproffessional. I mean he was with them for something like 18 years, which is forever in the radio biz. He should realize that's the nature of the beast and move on.

I really couldn't see the purpose of WGST's canning John Adams. It's a weekend specialty show, which is not uncommon for a news/talk station. Adams definitely has a zealous following. And his subject matter of real estate-related financial things is something of interest these days. In the overall scheme of things, I'm sure Adams didn't hurt WGST's ratings at all. Firing him was like trying to fix a cake by removing a little bit of icing.

I think Bloomquest made a big mistake when he let John Adams and Gene Henssler go. As an invester in Real Estate and stocks, over the years both have made and saved me money. Thank you for sharing the information about their return to the air, I'll be listening next week.

Looks like I am listening to WGST less and less now days.

I'm in the same boat - I'll be tuning into John & Dr. Gene on the new station. I remember when i was a kid (say.. early elementary school), and my dad would have Dr. Gene tuned in on the way home from church every Sunday (back when John was just the other half of Dr. Gene's show). I've listened to them both over the years, and find them to be of great quality.

I was out in market number 2 for a while earlier this year, and a similar "real estate" show on FreeFM was absolutly pathetic, as it was a 2 hour (seemingly paid) session that redirected every single caller to their office to purchase services from them and deflected all questions.

In short, WGST lost my weekend business. The only thing thats keeping me there is Art Mehring.

I must add my thanks to "The CFO" for adding John Adams and Dr. Gene to the lineup. Two of the most important informational radio programs in the USA!!
WCFO also airs Phil "what....are you nuts" Gramm weekdays at 3PM. This guy is bonkers....but fun to listen to.
I'm actually enjoying the business format.....did Joe Weber actually do something intelligent/entertaining??
