John Bolaris: Forecast Calls For A Suspension By Fox 29

@KenneyKOP: I thought I heard somebody on WIP this week comment that Sally Ann Mosey would be leaving Fox 29 too, at some point - I can't find any confirmation yet, then again, consider the source (a sports radio station)... We'll find out soon enough...

On philly.com's Celebrities page, there is a Marnie Hall video that says SAM is leaving Fox 29 at the end of this month, and Dave Huddleston is leaving CBS 3 also.

The new weekend weathercaster doesn't start at Fox 29 until Jan. 23.

Wonder what they'll do between Jan. 1 and 22? Are they still using some part-timers like Krista Quinn occasionally?

Karen Thomas has been working the week with Christa Quinn on this past weekend. Bummer they're losing SAM. She seemed fun & a good fit for Good Day. Funny- all of these people (including J-Bo) have previously worked at other stations here before jumping to 29.

Some people don't know when they're well off. Seems like if he just kept his mouth shut he'd be fine. Of course, I haven't read his side of the story.

You people crack me up. Take Bolaris' money and offer Mosey a new contract?? You have to be kidding. No station will offer her a contract. "Fun" and a "good fit" for Good Day? Not even remotely true. First of all, you need intelligence to have a sense of humor. She doesn't have it. She will bring a newscast to a screeching halt if you dare throw it to her for an unscripted convo. Secondly, Mosey is too wrapped up in herself to bother with a personality (or getting through a forecast w/out mistakes). She's cut-throat, though; she'd sell her fam to the taliban if it meant a 5 day/wk gig. She thought she was taking Serio's job, until viewers practically boycotted the station and they kept Sue. Let me hlep some of you out: If the almost 50 yr old, 5' tall, bow-legged, flat chested mom was in line in front of you at the Wawa (botox or not), you wouldn't look once, let alone twice. Funny how people are put on a pedestal just because they stand in front of a green screen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bolaris is gone at the end of his contract (whenever that takes place).

I wouldn't be surprised also if Schwaid ends up cleaning out the whole house at 29 over the next few years except for Serio and probably one/two others.

Cameraon: Just to clarify, I'll watch Sue Serio any day over anyone else at FOX 29. I think she is terrific. If what you say about Mosey is true, then good riddance.

And what reason would we have to believe him/her, making anonymous accusations? Takes real class to hide and offer unsubstantiated rumor mongering.

Are you questioning my "class" and accusing me of "rumor mongering?" I certainly hate to smash any illusions you may have, but you can take a look at the past week or so. Mosey's explanations for why she was leaving Fox 29: I want to spend more time w/my family; I need to be near my kids; the commute was too much; and I prefer freelance. Well, it looks like about a week or so is enough time to spend with her kids, because she came running back. Everyone knows she was let go from 29. And everyone knows no station in their right mind will offer her a contract (Fox 29 may be the exception, as it is widely considered the ghetto of news stations. I mean, could you see the likes of Jerrick, Jones, Keeley, Frederick, Barrett, Mosey working at 6abc, cbs3 or even nbc10? Of course not.). It can't be too good when you're pulled off the air with a couple of months left on your contract (as happened to Mosey in NYC). Again, sorry if I offended you by typing the truth about the Mississippi State weathercaster.

My, my, such bitterness. Is that a biased axe being ground over there? :D

Hardly calls for a response, but...Grandma Mosey and I are not in the same arena, professionally. No axe to grind. I dislike frauds and liars. My previous post has nothing to do with bitterness; those were public statements made by her. After she was fired by Fox 29, she said she needed to be closer to her kids and wanted more family time. That lasted a whole week or so. Congrats to her. Mother of the Year.
