After watching and waiting for 4 years for the opportune moment, Sunburst Media has re-entered the broadcasting biz by signing an agreement to purchase KKLD in the Phoenix area from 3 Point Media/Prescott Valley LLC's Chris Devine and Bruce Buzil.

John Borders and partner Don Turner expect to have a new tower up for the 98.3 FM station by the first part of 2006.

Sunburst operated for nearly 20 years and sold when radio station prices were at a high. Before selling its properties in 2000 to several parties for around $200 Million, Sunburst Media was in the top 35 list of broadcasters in terms of revenue. Tom Gammon of Americom Radio Brokers handled the purchase for the sellers.
