John Buffaloe spent 30 years in San Diego radio including 20 years as KSON's chief engineer. He left SD at the beginning of 2005 to become Director of Engineering for Clear Channel in New Orleans, but he's been a frequent contributor to this board.

John - it may be be many months before you are able to do such silly, mundane things as read radio geek forums, but God bless you and your family and we pray that you are well.

Alive and well

I just received e-mail from John, by way of a mutual friend. He says he and Annette got out OK a couple days before the storm hit. Their home survived and was not flooded, but he was let go from his job on Wednesday.

If anyone reading this has an offer of employment for John or knows anyone who does, contact me through my profile and I'll forward the message to him.

Re: Alive and well

Hey, a radio geek will always find a moment to check the boards! Thanks guys for your comments. Annette and I are in Memphis staying at an apartment owned by friends and we're fine. We don't know the condition of our house in NOLA, but we do know it didn't flood where we live. We have some resources and options, and we're going to be OK. We're far better off than 99% of my NOLA brothers and sisters, and I urge everyone to make a generous donation to the Red Cross.

I'll be around.

John Buffaloe
