John DePetro is Soooo Rhode Island

Gotta love JD. This morning he was covering the ProJo story about the (allegedly) mentally challenged guy who was stopped by the Johnston PD, went to HQ for questioning and was released, and is now missing.

In kind of an odd twist, the family is criticizing Johnston for releasing a guy whom they should have recognized was mentally challenged.

There are racial profiling overtones, and Cliff Monteiro was on to discuss that aspect.

Anyway, apparently this guy was a passenger in a car that was driving on Hartford Ave. after dark with its lights off, and that was the original reason for the stop.

DePetro repeatedly referred to the car as having been stopped for "Not Driving With its Lights On." He must've said it at least five times. What a classic RI way of saying it!

LOL..... Yeah that's another term that I absolutely hate. DOWNCITY. Who the hell invented that?
If you type DOWNCITY into Google, the only thing that pops up is information about Providence. So apparently it's not a word that is used anywhere else in the world.

hahahha. Yeah Thank God I moved out of Pawtucket a year ago. Probably the worst town in Rhode Island. Then again I hear Central Falls may be worse. Glad that I never had to find out.

My sources tell me John DePetro is just not a very nice human being. He rants at staff, screams at his producer, generally a total "JO". Plus I wonder about some secrets of his private life. He complains about people living off the public doll, he takes a free car for nothing. All I can say is that PD must have his hands full putting out fires. He is going to give direction to DePeto, Buddy and York? What does he do all day schedule the weekend board ops? Oh, I forot he dreamed up that chic talk, with 11 girls in the studio. Out of the shute Buddy will score well, then straight down hill. There will be that initial curiosity factor. Too old, people under 30 don't care, he's lost his edge, he has the anti criminal element. I feel sorry for Ron St.Pierre. He was a solid morning guy. Easy to take, local, frindly. This JD hates everyone and sounds mean. Plus some of his comments are not suited for soccer moms with kids in the car. I think an earlier poster was right Ms. Hayes days are numbered. Not to mention Providence was blamed for bad second quarter perforance for Citadel and that buck stops at her desk.

Keep in mind, Barbara isn't the PD, Paul Giammarco is...and has built in some buffers so there won't be any potential hazards/fires with rescheduling Paul Harvey to get JD out and Buddy in and same with the 1:30-2 slot witht he longer Paul Harvey report for the Buddy/Dan cross (which I actually think will work in a couple of months).

What proof do you have that Buddy has lost his edge....his 7 hours of airtime so far? THAT's a good measure....Ron is exactly where he wants to be and I see nothing but success for him and the show.....
