Anyone else as tired of Depetro's junior varsity radio act as much as I am?
The contrast in show prep and depth of commentary between him and Dan Yorke is stunning.

This quote is exactly what is wrong with Rhode Island today.The calander says 2007 AD.But reading this post I swear it's 1986.Buddy will be a flop.NOBODY cares anymore,He's Buddy and that's it.The only people that give a crap about him are 65 and better with one foot in the grave if they are not in a nursing home by now.He will NOT attract your 25-54 year old core.Unless Bengay,Denture cream and that electric bike chair thing have a big radio campaign it wont work.
Will someone be dumb enogh to sign him to a big contract.Absoulutly,Will that same station shoot themselves in the foot.Yes.

One more thing.I find it amazing that sponsors,networks and others were willing to hang Don Imus in Central Park for a public stoneing for a slip of the tounge.
But here in Providence.Everyone loves Cianci.People are bending over backwards for him and he is a two time convicted felon.I admit I voted for him the 2 nd time but I will never vote a third.Everyone in my opinion is intitled to a mistake.

Oh, yea. The only city or town in Rhode Island he has a following is in Providence.Remember when he ran for Governor.
 
I wonder if John D just took the WPRO GIG just to promote
himself. He has so many pics of himself online that it makes you wonder. I never knew that he was ALSO A COMEDIAN!!!!
He also got the extra hr in the mng cause the other guys were working an hr longer that he.....

Also that pic with Paz and his girlfriend.on JD's website,.She was the one that took out her (whatcha you call it) and startled everyone at Cox. But not John and Paz. I guess. He's got plenty to learn and will after much experience.

You couldn't spell another word incorrectly and still be more wrong than you are now.
Yes, he will have a heavy lean in the older demo; but he will also do extremely well in the 25-54 demo, especially with males. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it won't happen. Buddy has always had charisma-in person, in front of a camera and behind the mic. He WILL end up[ at WPRO as I have been saying all along. WHJJ has nothing that will be able to compete with him. Yes he does well in Providence because he was the mayor in Providence; but take a step back and look at his ratings when he was a radio host...all demos across the board.

Imus will be back on the radio by the first of the year as well, CBS has realized their mistake as they still haven't placed someone in his spot and are seeing their ad dollars drying up because of it and what talks loudest...that's right, the ad dollars!
