I live in Foxboro now but I lived in RI for a long time. I am on the road all day and thought Depetro was great on wHJJ 920 when I lived in RI , but I thought his Boston show on 680 was even better. I do not hear him as much now on 630, since I am normally tied up in the early morning. I do not understand the people who always knock him, since I find him always funny and always current .I just think JD is the biggest ballbuster I have ever heard. I find many people on the radio are dull and I think some stations must run repeats since it seems to be the same topics. I use to hear him for almost 2 hours a day but now only catch 30 to 45 mins of the show each morning. I like Rush, and flip around in the afternoon. I just don't get the criticism of depetro unless people are jealous of him? I thought all the best shows were on in the morning? I know he worked in NY and Boston and some people here are no longer in the business. I just like to be entertained in the car.
 
You might find that the ones who relentlessly criticize him do it because they know him personally and/or work/worked with him and can't separate John the person vs John the radio personality.
