According to allaccess.com John killed himself last week.

I never met him. He was gone from I-95 before I got there. Of course, I know people who know him and said he was a really nice guy who was suffering from some major back pain that he just didn't want to fight anymore.

I really don't know. They way I look at mine is it's not really a problem if I can still aford to do it. lol.. Like Charles Barkly and his gambling!

Really tacky. Let him rest in peace.

Just asking. I was wondering if it may have been a contributing factor in his death, if true.

I remember being in one of the studio audiences for the Breakfast Flakes in the early 90s. I met John and Mary Ann and Dave Shepherd. They had Dave over in the corner of the studio. My favorite part of the show was Mr. Manly.

I got to work with him briefly on two occasions. I produced for the April Fool's Day stunt when he and Mary Ann came over to WCHY-FM, while Burns and Bolton went to WIXV-FM; before that, we had a big old-style radio theatre deal at Savannah Mall one Christmas, with many local radio types. Rest in peace, John.
