John Hinterberger, retired Seattle Times reporter and on-air host at KING talk radio died March 26 at age 92.
After serving as a parachute infantry Sargent in Cold War Germany, he received a MA Drama at the University of Washington. He became a police beat reporter for the Seattle Times, and moved to movie and arts critic when Tom Robbins quit.
He later wrote a well received column, and did restaurant reviews. He was a talk show host on KING-AM in the early nineties. That career was ended by a stroke.
