John Ireland To Lakers Radio Booth

Chick Hearn is rolling over in his grave. Another ridiculous move by a Buss kid! This time it was Jeanie Buss! John Ireland is horrible and I can't stand how he over enunciates every word. I hate the Lakers on KSPN. Miss KLAC!
 
Talk about being thrown under the buss... This is pathetic. Two pre-game/sideline guys moved into the #1 spot with little experience. People say because MacDonald did the 81 point game that gives him credibility - BS! There's a reason he does mainly features and interviews on Fox - because he SUCKS at PXP. Bad voice, amateur delivery, too "cute" for his own good - none of it fixable. Spero is a class act who should have been here for 40 years - he has the complete package and would only have gotten better. Now the Knicks will find out how good he can get. Sucks to be a Fakers viewer - even if only for a year.

As for Ireland, one of the most irritating people in the market. If you heard the fill in he did this year, you know how bad he is. Barely tolerable as a talk show host/sideline reporter, to put him on major market PXP is a joke. But that's what KSPN is so they deserve each other. Time was you could turn down the sound on network games to hear quality from the radio - kiss those days goodbye. This is what happens when you hire suckups instead of talent. Jeanie - YOU SUCK! Incompetent, clueless moron.

For years we've gotten used to Excellence in Broadcasting...Vin Scully, Jaime Jarrin, Chick Hearn, Bob Miller. But those days are slowly coming to an end, and unfortunately, that kind of talent just doesnt exist anymore. The days of "The Minds Eye", as Chickie Baby so elequently put it, are getting replaced with Twitter updates, web polls, and inferior PxP. I guess all good things must come to an end.
 
If Vic The Brick's Lakers homerism was a childhood crush then John Ireland's fanaticism would compare to that of a psychotic stalker.

I mean, what is the point of John even opening his mouth? He's going to say the Lakers will absolutely unequivocally win every game they'll play from now until the end of time.

Lather, rinse, repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat and ...
