Where we going?


First Ruben and I want to send out a sincere thank you to every person who's reached out over the past couple of months. We've literally received tens of thousands of emails and We've tried to respond to as many as we can. Unfortunately it would take way too long to get back to everyone. We hope you feel no disrespect if you haven't been responded to.

The majority of the emails have been asking what radio station Ruben and I will move our show to. We will be releasing that information as quickly as we can. Please subscribe to our blogs as they will be the first source of that information.

On another note. Today We've received several notes like this one:

what the hell?! so the new DJ's JohnJay and Rich (gag) just tried to add me on myspace! hell no!! there is no way that i am going to support them, and they will never be able to fill your shoes!! kid & ruben will always be the best, and there's nothin they can do about it! I wished them best of luck, but told them I will not be listening to their show, and neither will most of phoenix!!

COME BACK TO THE AIRWAVES SOON!!!!

Unfortunately Ruben and I are now going to have to hide our friends lists. We can't blame the new morning show for soliciting you as friends. You are, after all, the most incredible friends dj's could ever have. Ruben and I never could have imagined the amount of LOYALTY AND SUPPORT you've given us throughout the years. We will never forget all you've done for us and we'll always do our best to provide you with the best radio show we know how to produce.

Our suggestion to KISS FM's new morning show is instead of trying to steal our listeners work on developing your own listener base, don't sell your houses in Tucson...and run for cover cuz KID AND RUBEN ARE COMING TO A RADIO NEAR YOU VERY SOON!!

If I remember correctly, wasn't Kid 'n Rubin's show piped down to Tucson on Hot 98.3 back a couple years ago? What are they complaining about? So it didn't work. I think it's funny that after having morning shows and news programs piped down here from Phx, that Tucson can actually give something back (whether good or not).<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by liam808 on 01/06/06 01:13 PM.</FONT></P>

Well, hopefully the listeners in Phx are smarter than that. It's not JJ and Rich's fault that Kid 'n Rubin aren't on the air at Kiss anymore. They work for Clear Channel, just like Kid 'n Rubin did and now they have the same opportunity to work both in Tucson and Phoenix that K & R did when they worked both KISS and Hot 98.3 in Tucson. I doubt K & R (or Hot 98.3's listeners)would say it was their (K & R's) fault they once replaced a morning show on a station in Tucson.

Phoenix listeners aren't too happy, nor is the staff at KZZP. It's not a horrible show but it's not too good when it's compared to Kid n Rubin. The difference is, CK & The Badboy morning show is pretty good, therefore listeners were pretty happy. Putting JJ & R in place of K & R was a pretty bad move on CC's part, actually there were a lot of listeners. Ahhh well what can you do?

i think tucson is pacified because it has no choice
given a choice, i think tucson would pick better
