John Kincade To Join CBS Sports Radio

ugh. sad face.

i hoped he was done nationally when he wasn't on ESPN this weekend.

oh well. he's a hard worker and deserves credit for a mid-career job switch (not to mention being a cancer survivor) but i'm not a fan.

"ESPN Radio" has to do something, and something quick Yesterday morning (Sunday 12/2/2012) between 3am-8am they played each of two shows back to back ("Between The Lines-Story Program that is one hour) and (ESPN Race Day-Car Racing Program) both shows is a Hour show that comes on during the weekend. Both shows are pre-recorded
Yesterday, both shows were on between 3am-8am (Eastern time). It kept repeating. I don't know what came on after 8am
Normally they would have a live show at 7am (Eastern time)
They have to do something. Because if they don't, they will not last any longer

if I'm not mistaken, wasn't Chris Moore on "Fox Sports Radio"? about ??? three or four years ago, mostly on weekend mornings, holiday weekend mornings?
If it's the same one I'm thinking of, he was great. He broadcasted, I believe from CT

wow. they pulled chris moore out of the jurassic park of radio. yes, same guy that was on ESPN in the heyday and then at FSR on the weekends at the end of the last decade. he's decent but again can someone try something new for a change.............

You're basing their long-term success predictions on what they do on a couple of overnight shifts?
It'll take a lot more than a couple of dry heaves and repeats on the overnight shifts to kill ESPNRadio off...

I'm just saying, instead of having all thsese (Pre-Recorded) shows on the overnights, for such a successfull radio network, they should have live programming on the overnight 7 nights a week, example (1am-5am). That way, for people out west, if they like to call into the show, they can.
and 5am-7am put those (Pre-Recorded Shows) on there

I understand and I appreciate your stance. In the end, all that matters is meeting budget. Nobody cares about the people who stay up all night. If they take the time to truly run quality "best-of" programming, that should be good enough and still fresh sounding to the overnight crew. For the six or seven people who truly want to call in at 3am, I say go ahead and call. I'm sure the board operator is happy to hear your concerns about the Golden State warriors or USC Trojans or any other west coast rant.

In all seriousness, like I said earlier, I do wish all networks would put more effort into "best of" hours...eliminating certain dated references and using better judgment on segments.

Why waste money on some of the lowest rated hours of the day? ESPN is doing just fine, making plenty of ad revenue while airing pre-recorded stuff.

LAUROJRM you get your wish! NBC Sports Radio will be live on the weekend overnights!

If I were a betting man, I am guessing Cumulus and Atlanta said to John, either you stay with us when we flipped to CBS, or you go back to Bristol, but you have no Broadcasting home here.
