John Kruk to WPEN

The Inquirer reports that John Kruk will join WPEN (from ESPN)in what is being called a "substantial" role. Do you think he would be part of a new local morning show? And even with a new experienced sports PD (and friend of Kruk), do you ever realistically see WPEN able to draw sports fans from WIP or just attract enough sports fans who wouldn't otherwise listen to WIP to get decent ratings, or is this format also doomed to failure no matter what talent is brought in?

I think Kruk going to 950 is a great move for the station. If they can keep adding talent like that they'll have a shot but they need to keep the momentum building otherwise it won't be enough. It will be interesting to see if he does AM drive and if so, who he will be partnered with.
