John & Lance Get TV Simulcast

That's pretty good since you won't be able to hear them in that time block starting next month due to the pattern change time.

Starting next month, Comcast Sports Southwest will simulcast KGOW's morning show with John & Lance, but for only one hour (the 6-7 AM hour). They will remain on camera during commercial breaks with exclusive content for CSS viewers.

Good exposure, as CSS is about to land the rights for the Astros and Rockets.

So it will be this same channel that becomes the RSN carrying them? Guess it makes sense; no reason to start a new CSN network for the region when this one's already in place.

I don't believe Comcast's merger with NBC will have any bearing whatsoever on the regional sports networks that they currently operate. It's probably no different than how Fox Sports runs their RSN's no matter how many media conglomerate ties parent company News Corp. has.

The other 3 sports stations in town should probably contact Arbitron and make sure they aren't encoding the audio they send to Comcast. Easy to do. Hold a phone up to a TV and Arbitron's guys can tell whether the signal is encoded or not.
