WORD ON THE STREET HAS FORMER MIX MORNING MAN JOHN LANDER IN TALKS WITH WITH A BOSTON RADIO STATION. COULD LANDER’S RETURN TO THE BOSTON AIRWAVES BE JUST AROUND THE CORNER???
I hope he's back to MIX. I used to listen to John all the time when he was in Texas before I moved to Boston. Hearing him on the radio would make me feel like I 'm back home again.
All this Mike FM jock talk has the gears turning in my head. What if they are beefing up the air staff for a format flip? Yes, the ratings as is are good but not GREAT. They are great for the circumstances and the station is making money because the costs are way low. What if they are getting ready to flip to maybe take on Kiss.
I think he'd be good for any format. I hope he can be sucessfull
On a side note, I heard Mike Mcgowan on Mix 104.1 this past Saturday afternoon around just after 4pm. He was most recently on WXLO 104.5 weekends on that station as well.
Anyways, I hope John Lander can be sucessfull and wish him the best
I like Lander but I hope he doesn't return to Mix cause I enjoy Karson and Kennedy. I've met and talked to Karson personally and he supports what I do. He's a great down to earth person. I would hate to see them both disappear from the Boston airwaves.
I gather most people think he's going back on Mix. Could that be true? Is the morning show on Mix doing that bad? I think they're ok. In my opinion though, I think Kennedy tries to sound like this hip chick but I thinks she's got an annoying laugh thats a little bitc-- sounding. Some of the things they do sound too contrived. I do wish them well though. I don't want to see anyone lose their job.
I'm sure Dale would still be on somewhere but I hear his health is not good. Besides his ratings were not their during his last days on WODS. Maybe that was due to his health. I would love to hear a 30 year old Dale again but unfortunately we all get older.
