John Laurenti to WBOS

There's a blurb on AllAccess today about John Laurenti getting the PM drive spot on WBOS! Congrats to John!

A close friend of mine who works at 55 Morrissey Blvd. has stated there is discussion of Joanne Doody moving to Middays and that Amy Brooks is out.

Also with both John Laurenti and Joanne Doody having tons of programming/music experience, is there a need to keep David Ginsburg as MD?

Things that make you go hmmmmmmm...

Best of luck to John. It is well past time for this. He is one of the hardest working people in radio (IMHO). On air 7 days a week, two markets..

Good for him!!!!

I thought George Knight was doing nights on WBOS. What happened. No more Easy After Dark. Loved that show.

PM drive is weekday afternoons 3-7 PM. That's what Laurenti will be doing, not evenings/nights.

George Knight is still doing "Over Easy After Dark" weeknights 7 PM - Midnight.

No offense, but it will not matter.
WBOS is still WBOS, a progressive music station.
Too mellow to Rock, but to Alternative to be AC.
No matter what they do (no offense) as long as they have the format they have, they will always be second string. That's the format, folks.

That is about the size of it.
