John Mahoney (1940-2018)

Many people do not know that he was originally from Manchester, England
and spoke with a British accent.

He certainly nailed the dialect of a crusty American better than any other Brit actor
I can think of.

RIP.

I would have thought he was a lot older. He seemed like an old man on "Frasier" and that was many years ago. He would have been 52. That's not old any more.

I had the opportunity to see "Hot In Cleveland" in reruns and I liked him there too, but I didn't think Betty White was robbing the cradle. he's had a lot of good roles.

He was in a film called Striking Distance that was shot here in Pittsburgh.
It is not a good film, but his performance was convincing.
