JOHN MCCARTY REMEMBERED ON 1360 THIS SUNDAY

We'll do a tribute to John's life and career this Sunday between noon and 3:30PM (exact time and guest list not set yet, but I'm expecting Nancy Johnson, Bob Leonard and Ray Whitworth to sit in so far.) We'll play some old airchecks of John's long career in DFW, and roll some of his favorite tunes as well. We'll also open up the phone lines if you've got some McCarty stories you'd like to tell.

While I'm here, let me welcome BUD BUSCHARDT back to the DFW airwaves! He'll be on Sundays 3:30PM-6:30PM doing an oldies show for us.

And welcome back to my original "Hi-Fi Club" co-host, John Lewis, who'll cover 3PM-7PM Saturday. Jim Thomas returns the following Saturday with "70s Saturday Afternoon."

Complete schedule for this week posted at www.thehificlub.net.

We'll start this at noon with a nice aircheck of John McCarty with Dana Carvey (remember him? Church Lady?) on KRSR-Star 105 fromOctober, 1990. Around 1, we'll have some folks coming by to share their favorite McCarty stories, plus we'll take phone calls. (If you knew or worked with John and have some stories to share, call in after 1 at 972/572-1360. If it's busy or keeps ringing, give it a few mins and call back.) We'll have some fun with this and send John out with a smile.

That was a great show..all that affection and love for the man. Be proud he was served well.
