John Osterlind, locally from WAAF and later WRKO, was found dead Thursday at his apartment in New Orleans.

Radio personality John Osterlind dead at 55

Radio host John Osterlind died last week. The NOPD says managers at his apartment discovered his body Thursday around 2:00pm. “Victim found unresponsive inside location by management of property. EMS arrived and pronounced victim on scene.”

Worked with Ozone at AAF. He knew great radio, knew a good new song when he heard it, and was very giving of his time. "In Marlborough, In Marlborough, I ate there last week dude."
 
Did he really transition? This supposedly took place 5 or 6 years ago, but there are video interviews and photos of him using his birth name and male persona as recently as '22, making me wonder if it was a gag, which wouldn't have been out of character for him.
RIP Ozone. I was listening to him when the first plane hit the WTC, and he said it was terrorism right off the bat when the rest of the media was still speculating about a possible accident.

The Rebecca Pratt Facebook profile shows pictures going back to her days in the Northeast, so it's something that was kept in confidence for a long time.

Not to speculate, but it is possible that they only went public with the transition in 2022. There are many reasons why that could likely be the case (i.e. fear of losing friends/family, etc.).

That is exactly the reason.. im not much a podcast fan, but watched a video podcast with her and two others.. and that was one of the things brought up

I know people that are or have been in this position. It is a lot more common than one would think.
 
as one of the openly small c conservatives on this board, but with a very strong Libertarian leaning, it is sad that in this day and age adults are not free to live their lives as they choose.

I would not wish that type of fear upon my worst enemy, or even my ex wife.

regardless of how they dressed or what they called themselves, Ms Pratt did great radio over multiple formats
