Does anyone have the lowdown on John? All he seems to be doing for WGNY-FM these days is Saturday Nite Retro. I listened to him this past weekend. He isn't even listed anymore on their website (which doesn't surprise me).

What happened to his afternoon drive show? Leave it to Sunrise(Fox) to fill the void with ABC Networks jocks instead of local like John did. He is a very decent jock.

In addition, besides Saturday and Sunday nites, does anyone know if the station plans to have an overnite jock (like they did when Mary Taleska was doing it - not live of course).

Someone else on this board stated that he is "involved in the rebuilding of the Port Jervis studios", whatever that means. I also heard he will fill in on mornings, but I too, wonder what happend to his afternoon show. His a pretty decent jock (jokes can be lame sometimes, but he tries!).

Anyone have any "official" info on John Roberts?

Maybe he'll leave the Fox. If he did, they would be losing one of their best jocks.

He is the Operations Manager for WGNY am/fm as well as WTSX & WDLC. He is responsible for engineering for these stations as well as being responsible for the physical plants of both facilities. He is employed by both Sunrise Broadcasting and PJ Broadcasting. His airshift is Sat. night Retro 80's

Didn't he used to be the Program Director?
 
I worked with "John" at WCRR/WVSG 1170AM over 20 years ago. He is a tremendious talent. Was involved in programming, production, morning on-air guy and chief engineer. He can do it all in radio. Although I have not seen him since 1985, he had a large impact on my career. 1170am was still the best job I ever had.
