Where was he? Was he sick? Family commitment? John is one of the best in the buisness. I really enjoy his call of PC.

Sorry - just saw this post! Nah, not really upset at all. Happy for the kids. I was asked by ESPN Regional to do a TV game for them in Boston that night, and got permission from the school to do it. When the network calls, you try to help them out as much as possible, right? Turns out - well - it turned out, didn't it!
On the other hand, I had the opportunity and privilege to call the Syracuse-UConn 6 OT marathon at MSG last week for national radio, through the ISP sports network and Sirius/XM. Wow. A game for the ages. Even media stood and applauded the players for their efforts after it was over!
But probably because they were all ready to get out of there at 1:30 am - cutting down on drinking time in Manhattan!
