John Stamos Talking With CBS About Two and a 1/2 Men

Spell it with me, boys and girls:

S-C-H-W-I-M-M-E-R

Still maintains a L.A. home. Could use the dough (even at less than Sheen's $2 million per episode) to fund his directorial/production interests. Was already a recognizable character on a hit TV show. Not demonstrably insane.

IMHO, the show is showing its age. I think any comeback with or without Charlie may not have the best results. Not seen thh ratings lately, though I'm guessing they're still pretty high.

Schwimmer "could use the dough?" For what - a fifth home or a seventh yacht? If I remember correctly, all of the members of the Friends cast got the same money per episode - around $1 million per in the last couple of seasons. While that may not equal Sheen's $2M per, it was record breaking at the time, beating the Seinfeld cast, which held the record prior to that.

Schwimmer may not be working much lately, but I doubt he needs the dough.

I know David Schwimmer got a lot of money for Friends, and he probably lives well on syndication residuals. Again, my point that is he's mostly been busy with directing and a few independent projects as of late. Signing on to do this show would bring in some easy money to keep those interests funded. (Hello, Robert DeNiro in those 'Fockers' sequels?)

CBS/WBTV has yet to complete the full slate of episodes pre-sold for syndication. Assuming they could get it filled with one or two Band-Aid seasons, you might as well try it with an established TV star.

Wouldn't it be kind of Unrealistic that another actor step in and take over the Charlie Harper character?
It's not Bewitched... Where You just switch Darin's.

^ a replacement for charlie sheen does not need to be a replacment for the charactor.it can be a compleatly diffrent chaaractor.done right it could work.

:D

Wonder if Jed Bartlet could straighten him out?

There's only one "Friends" actor who will make me watch his show, and Matthew Perry is already "Mr. Sunshine". Courteney tried and failed, and Jennifer I like only in movies.

In my opinion they ended up with a better Darrin. That wouldn't work here.

Also, "Roseanne" ended up with a better Becky.

Roseanne seasons 1-5 had better episodes (and did better in ratings) than seasons 6-9. Becky 2 came in somewhere around the 6th season. I don't think it was all her-Darlene and DJ getting older and Roseanne's family getting richdidn't help anymore than the Becky change. Becky was older, but Darlene had a lot more focus esp. towards the end of the series.

Not quite same with 'Two and Half Men' where Charlie Sheen had a lead character role.
