Anyone here with inside knowledge about KJOY know why the Tesh show was moved to 5? Some people don't like this move, I tend to think it's not a bad move to expose the show to a larger audience by airing the show at a time when people are heading home. The hours of 5-8 PM are peak driving time so more people might tune in so I don't see it as a bad thing. They still have local traffic and weather at that time so it's not eliminating the necessary drivetime service elements. That said even though I approve I'm wondering if any regulars know the rationale employed by PD Bill Edwards and his bosses when they decided to shift Tesh to PM drive?
 
Bosses Rationale...same as always...SAVE MONEY!!! "WKJY...HOME (Garden City) OF JOHN TESH...ALL TESH ALL THE TIME RADIO". Don't hold your breath...but it might come to that sooner than you think, especially when it comes down to their current ratings delema, and the fact that they are a union shop. They won't spend a dime to fix it...just tighten up the belt... around some live jock's neck! "BARNEY SQUEAKS" when he walks!!! P.S. I'm thinking...that sooner or later...WKJY will put in for a change of COL...to Garden City...just to help re-enforce the idea of the TESH-FM Brand!!!
 
K-JOY has 4 other AC stations to compete against...WLTW to its west, WALK to the east, Star and WEBE to the northeast. Not to mention that WMGQ sometimes overpowers K-JOY.
