John Tesh on Stars 97.3

I like the way this station sounds now, with the exception of the John Tesh Radio show. THIS SHOW MUST GO! It's a bit old advertisement for 105.3 JACK FM (because that's what I switch to when he comes on).

That should read "big old advertisement"

Yes...I kinda like the station overall, but it seems that it takes a 9 hour nap around 3pm everyday...John Tesh follwed by Delilah....make me reallly sleepy.

Speaking of which, remember "The Oasis 101.1?"
They had this big voice guy on in the mornings.

Yeah, a very big voice guy ;)

Ahh, the Oasis 101.1 Funny thing, the Oasis was on the bird and the jox on the network (9am - 5pm) actually did weather updates for Lubbock...complete with current conditions. Of course there was a little help from the Shortcut 360 in getting it all together.

Yeah, those 360s are great for weather. Came in real handy at 950 when our in-house weather people didn't update. I'd record the accuweather guys on the fly, and play it back on the air a few mins later! Was much easier than having to dump a cassette recording in and then load the block.

Not to mention those Shortcut machines were fun to play with too. I used take recordings of different people from around the station and then edit it with uncessary bleeps. This was before Jimmy Kimmel started doing it.

Sorry for going off topic...
