Does anyone know where he is these days? He is one of my favorites.

yes, stations are banging down the doors to hire him.
Maybe if he came up with his own act he would have lasted in the business.
He came looking for a job a few years back and came in acting like he had actually accomplished something in this business.
Hack.

He's on one of Howard Stern's two Sirius channels, I think Channel 101

I love Renshaw. I mean he did have a Nationally Syndicated show back on the old One on One Sports for a few years ( 3 or 4 if I recall ).

So I mean they guy did accomplish something. He also did mornings on WHB for a year or 2.. that's a pretty big station.

Its THE STATION in KC.

I did catch him on Ferrall. I think he may have gone on w/ Sedano possibly a few yrs ago as a guest on FSR

Renshaw is a good and lively act.

One thought on why he's never had staying power. He talks A LOT of college hoops- and I just think that during the NCAA Tournament that's all well and good- but in the middle of December and January we want to talk the NFL.

Renshaw's problem wasn't college hoops he loved talking football. He just always got in trouble w/ management. He had issues at One on One, he had issues in Atlanta, he had issues in Miami, had issues at FSR, & had issues at WHB- in KC.

He's been his own worst enemy. You can only call a horses ass a horses ass to his face so many times before you get nailed.

In my opinion he was & still could be a great talent, but just gotta get his attitude focussed.

I hope he pops up somewhere.. I'll tune in online if he does.

He's co-hosting a show by phone called "The Midday Melee" in Louisville.

I hadn't heard of him until recently, but this guy has some problems. He talks a lot about his drug and alcohol abuse which makes the other host noticably uncomfortable.

The show's on M-F 1pm-3pm on 1570 AM.

The man is a mess and has not had the maturity to clean up his act.
He was never a ratings grabber in any of his jobs and tough to work with.

I guess he's moving to Louisville finally, instead of doing a show by PHONE from Houston. The man is better than most of the host's I hear on SNR. I can't believe he's not on a network.

Glad to see you found an alias to post under Renshaw.
I think enough people in the local and national markets have gotten the scoop on you.
Louisville, just one step up to the networks!

yea buddy! Get a life ATL. I'm a producer in Louisville. Hence the name! By the way, I wish we had the Two Live Stews here, you guys are lucky.

The Stews are a phenomenon man. Not a ratings winner, but they have a strong showing in their key demo, the Atlanta African American audience. They are the perfect fit for a city like Atlanta and the other urban areas where they place their show. It is funny, light hearted most of the time and a little outrageous. A lot of their stuff is lost on me (the middle aged white guy) but they do have fun.
There was an initial buzz when they hit town in mid-days after being a night show. They were up against Bill O'Reilly at the time on 680 The Fan and did great numbers. When they moved to afternoon drive they won 2 of the first three ratings books against 680's Buck and Kincade which had people talking. Now they have lost seven of the last eight ratings books to B&K, but continue to see their star rise in the urban community locally and nationally.
I can tell you that in a few interactios they seem like real good people.
Does Louisville fit their target demo? I would never have thought that.

Well we only have 2 sports stations in town. I guess most markets do, I'm not for sure, but there isn't room for the Two Live Stews on either station, unless they ran the replay. The number 3 and 4 rated stations here in Louisville are both Urban if that means anything. What's funny is, the station that John The Freak Renshaw will be on starting Monday, WWSZ, hasn't showed up in the last TWO books LOL.
