John Wallach, Sporting News to WBZ-FM

I haven't heard it for awhile but hopefully they won't have that silly Wallace/Wallach "joke"

I'm surprised he put up with the crap he took from Holley. There was the Wallach/Wallace stuff and the "everybody drink" crap when Wallach made a mistake. Holley can't read two sentences without screwing something up. I guess in the interest of political correctness, Holley can get away with anything.

well it was funny tuesday someone asked wheres john wallach and holley said he was on vacation and would be back fri.  hmmmm  i guess hes on a permenet vacation

I am happy for John W. . He seemed to be a workhorse for EEI and then got gassed back to flashes from Metro. I hope he does well. Also, in regards to the  post from sportsradioweei1037- learn to spell. Go Wallach

WBZ-FM is to have Sporting News shows but I noticed a Sporting News Radio show on WWZN at 7 pm;
maybe it will pick it up at some future time or maybe SNR doesn't mind having _two_ affiliates? I get the
idea that it'll be on 98.5 only though.

It was a nice move on Jon's part. I thought he would, if given the chance. Getting the Santos job on the 'BZ morning team would have been better.

Meter says he's got a year left on his deal? I understand the foil role with D&C. I don't get the BC FB voice but that's their business.

Jon Wallach is doing a great job with Toucher and Rich so far. He seems to fit in with Fred, Rich, and Crash. It's funny hearing him loosen up with the pink hat triva, and the drunken Red Sox Recaps.

The John Henry impression is a running bit from the WBCN show. It's not a planned bit, they just have callers who call in as John Henry who say stupid things that sound nothing like him. They did let that caller go on longer than most, it's usualy just a quick one line and out. He was a little uncomfortable at times, but Fred, Rich and Crash have been a team for years now. It'll take Wallach a little time to get all the inside jokes, and pick up on their little subtleties of the show.

And they sure as hell will treat him better on air than that schlep from EEI.

SNR probably forgot that WWZN still existed. The audience on the Hub would have to outnumber WWZN's by 100,000 to 1.

However, this might finally give Mr. Santos his opportunity to buy more airtime for "Revolution Boston" up until 12am daily. Why not?

Ah, keeping your inner prejudice classy, eh Art?

I like John Wallach and I am not one to bash people who are on the air on this board (unlike those on this board who are NOT on the air I may bash, but I digress) but this morning I heard John say the Sox were 6.5 games behind the Yankees in the AL East when it's 7.5. It may be a minor detail...BUT...in this town, sports credilbility is key, especially with the Sox.

He had the games back wrong for two days before he corrected himself.
