You got to understand and should take lessons from them on how to create a morning show. I will venture to say they will be one of the next 5 shows to go to Sat. soon. Watch out for JJ & R. They will bite you when you least expect it.

Apparently you have lost track of the boys since you are in Texas, Alabama and Arkansas. Mabe they would be that good where you are from. But they have been in Tucson for about 4 years and have not made a dent in the market like their predecessors Mojo and Betsy or Tim and Willy. Those shows owned the market.
Not to say they are not good. They are very good. Just not THAT good to expect them to simultaneously win in any two markets. Especially since they are not winning in their home market after all this time.
Oh, if you lived here you would know they rarely get in the paper and tv news. Although they have gotten some very negative pub for bad bits stemming from poor judgement and desperation for ratings.
Again, I listen to them and they have a very good show. But they ain't what you thought they were.
As for satellite radio? Uh, yeah I'm sure they will follow Stern any day now.

yea your right....Houston, Dallas and being on a station that has won not 1 but 2 major market station of the year awards while there does not qualify me to qualify me say what is good radio and what is not. You are right!
Here is some other DUMB Advice for you if you want to make some cake in this game you should take JJ to lunch and pick his brain on how to get the most lucritive contracts possible.

I hadn't heard this until now but have read some of the other post. I am hoping they will stay in the market and continue to broadcast here? I would think its better for Tucson to have a show that is focused on the market and what happens here and not one that has to bounce between two cities. Kidd Kraddick in Dallas, who Rich worked with said about 5 years ago, get in a Top35 and try to land as many stations as you can in. Guess JJ & R are doing it the other way.
I guess it works for the show on 92.1 but as far as the comments they haven't made a dent? With all the choices and the change in Top40 from even 4 years ago, they have done great and the numbers reflect that. I hope either way they do real well, they are a couple of great guys.

i have heard from more than one that clear channel wants him out of tucson and might be working on getting him a better job
