Johnny Stone

You're WAY out of line here, mac.

Johnny's a friend of mine and he's got a great heart.

Back it down NOW. It's the ear mark of a coward to anonymously assault a person on a messageboard.

There was a guy on this board about 5 years ago who took it upon himself to go after Johnny. He just ended up making himself look like a putz.

You've got a good start at that same type of reputation with this post.

I would stop now.
 
I still remember Stonewall Jackson in the 80s on Y 106 in Atlanta and its cool to see he made the plunge into Christian radio serving America's largest market.

when it comes to ccm stations that's not hard to do... you know in a 1 legged man's world the 2 legged man is king.

Again don't take this as a Johnny Stone bashing, he an ok guy... just way over-rated.

You sounds like another person I know! This person left a station, of his own free will, and then started to tear down his fomer co-workers for no apparent reason. This isn't a dig at him, but I know he's not all he's cracked up to be either. In fact that station has only gotten better since he left.

I take it you are Johnny then? Since you are insinuating you work for WAWZ in which case Johnny sorry but I've never worked for you and have nothing against you I've been around for 15+ years and know enough, let's let that end there. Now as far as previous employees leaving and taking doing what you are accusing them of doing would make me want to take a closer look in the mirror.

If Johnny is reading this thread, he should be honored that the posers are throwing rocks at him. The people at the top make great targets. I wonder why anyone worth their salt and doing anything worth remembering would waste time and risk looking like idiots just to try to take someone else down. It all makes me hope these wannabes aren't actually working with us in the Christian industry. It would be a sad testimony.

The world is full of armchair experts. And most of them spend their time posting insults and character attacks on these boards. Most people who are making an actual difference with their lives are too busy doing something worthwhile to spend time acting like elementary students under the shroud of anonymity on these boards.

If I'm using words that are too big for the gossips in the room, let me know.

Johnny is under passafistwastaken. People throw rocks at racists I guess they are at the top? People throw rocks at criminals I guess they are at the top? Nice analogy. Easy target are the ones at the bottom, that's why when in battle you need to be on higher grounds.Think your analogies out. I'll say one more thing and then I'm done with the subject; I've been in Christian radio 15+ years and have seen it all and it is my responsibility in as a Christian not to allow sheep be lead a stray. If I'm wrong for being truthful then I'll be sinful with a clear conscience. I'm done. the thread is all yours.
 
Regarding my analogy, I'm sure those reading (including yourself) fully grasped and understood my meaning. I feel no need to defend my logic.

Regarding your valiant attempt to save us all from being eaten by Johnny Stone as he attacks the Eastern Seaboard: We all appreciate you using gossip and unsubstantiated claims to "shepherd" us out of harms way.

I'm sure the Holy Spirit appreciates your help as well.

Wow, that's a pretty volatile response! Reminds me of the 5 minute speech a youth "pastor" gave me when I dared question why I should give air time to one of his favorite CCM groups. I just literally asked the one word "why" and he went off! I think solid, thought out reasons go farther in making a point than "lowering the boom" on a person for something so small.

Being in the business as long as he has been, I'm sure mr. Stone can handle a bit of criticism. It comes with the turf.
 
Sorry. I get a little ticked when people throw irresponsible insults at my friends when said "insult comic" probably knows little about him personally. I'm sure Johnny can take the critiscism. But hey, what are friends for? I'd expect him to come to my defense if some know-it-all was shooting his mouth off about me. When it comes to friendship, as you say, what I did should "come with the turf." It's a brotherhood thing, "Mac." I mean, "Mark."
 
The spirit behind this whole post is questionable & it wouldn't hurt my feelings if this thread disappeared.
 
Agreed. I'm suprised the moderators have allowed it to stay THIS long. It doesn't discuss anything of any broadcasting value, anyway.
