WHOA!! I visited the station just a month or so ago.....I met one of the station owners (upfront) and then met the DJ on the AM (afternoon drive)..
which one was Lloyd??? That station is DEFINITELY hometown radio....
I was baffled they were not using an RF STL to the FM or AM....the telco rates MUST be dirt cheap there!!

My dad was born and raised just outside town near Lawtell...and I spent a LOT of my childhood there on weekends, etc....What happened anyway? Heart attack or ??

Tnx

My condolences to his extended family....truly a local hometown broadcaster!!

I'm saddened to hear of his passing, he gave myself and many other our start in radio. It may have been very hometown and "economical", but I consider myself lucky (or not depending on how you look at it) to be a 20-something who knows how to splice tape and cue up a 45 and this was only back in the mid 90's. He'll be missed.
