Johnstown Personality Passes

Jeff Wilkinson has died. He was known as "Rockin Robin" in the Johnstown market. The obit says WJNL but didn't someone using that name work also at WCRO in the 60's?

Wilkinson left radio for flying. He was at the controls of a Beech 99 which crashed in Johnstown in the 70's. It was an Air East flight. I don't think he flew after that and in fact, I think he returned to radio in Johnstown doing talk.

He was 68.

CORRECTION:

Wilkinson was NOT involved in the particular A/E accident I spoke of. I was given incorrect information!

Wow...sorry to hear about Jeff. He and I worked together briefly at WJNL in the mid 70s. He was a good guy. What was the cause of death?
