Joke FM-The Next Format Fad

You know, Jack says a lot of cool things. He gives us a piece of his mind and sometimes his wit, independence or c-o-c-k-i-ness (that is the word!) Our reaction, if we are paying attention is to smile or maybe chuckle.

Why not go all the way, with Joke FM? The same music as Jack, Bob, Mike etc, but instead of a c-o-c-k-y single White guy doing a one sentence comment, have Jack and Bob or Jack and Jill do quick, good jokes. Then between songs we can really laugh and they can even do their thing between spots, so we don't turn the station back to Jack and miss the jokes that are made on Joke-FM between spots.

I really think that someday there will be a station that is automated and plays jokes between songs and between spots. It seems a lot more interesting than hearing Jack speak his mind. I always like to hear a good joke.

OK, now you can comment on Jack being a Joke? Go ahead, he plays what HE wants anyway. And Jack probably does not give a ----- if you do not listen.
______________

Comment, I did not know that c-o-c-k-y was a naughty word, but I got censored.
Edited by peppertree5706 on 06/14/05 04:08 AM.

Sure Jack is a joke. Perhaps all of mass appeal, pop formatted, cookie cutter jukeboxes are a joke as well. And lets not forget that CBS-FM was nothing more than a glorified jukebox featuring gentrified talent, playing tunes from artists who'll never see a decent royalty check till the funeral director gets his fee.

Face it New York. Some weasel at corporate didn't see any redeeming value in rehashing a 30 year old concept featuring group home artists. On the other hand I'm sad to see it go too. It was the best oldies outlet in the country.

About five years ago it was, maybe the best. I think that WLNG has been superior of CBS-FM for a while now.
