Jon Locke, Character Actor in TV Westerns Dies, 86

Jon Locke, whom I had the pleasure of knowing as an honorary member of the Reel Cowboys, died this past Saturday at age 86.

His credits included: "Gunsmoke," "The Virginian", "Bonanza" "The Bionic Woman," "Perry Mason," "Mary Tyler Moore" and many others. He also played Officer Garvey on "Highway Patrol," with Broderick Crawford.

In addition to being a damn good actor, he was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
