Don't know how long, but I guess he is filling in for Mut who was switched to mornings.

I think at the moment this is a "temp" gig.
 
Have they named the new Red Sox play-by-play person yet?

Wondering if Meter is in the running . . .

Might explain his reemergence on WEEI.

I can't imagine the RS will not want a legit announcer one year ahead of Castiglione leaving (my guess) as I doubt this new version of their radio broadcasts will work well.
 
Meter's been doing PBP for BC FB and BB for years. Also for other sports elsewhere.

Anyway, it's odd that spring training is a week off and no announcement yet.
